A delegation of the Japan Institute for National Fundamentals (JINF), including President Yoshiko Sakurai and Vice President Tadae Takubo, visited Vietnam’s capital Hanoi from May 2 to 8 and exchanged views with senior members of the Institute for Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies (IFPSS) of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the Institute for Chinese Studies under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS). Discussions in both institutes were centered on how to face up to Chinese threats.
Representing the IFPSS were Director-General Hoang Anh Tuan and his deputy Nguyen Hung Son. VASS participants included Deputy Director-General Hoang The Anh and former Director-General Do Minh Cao.
The JINF delegation also included Director Tei Saito and Planning Committee Members Yujiro Oiwa, Yasushi Tomiyama and Hironobu Ishikawa.
