“38 North; Watching the Korean Peninsula from US”

 

Jenny Town, managing editor and producer of 38 North

 

   Ms. Jenny Town, the assistant director of the US-Korea Institute (USKI) at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), exchanged opinions with planning committee members and others including the JINF President Ms. Yoshiko Sakurai on June 1st.
   Ms. Jenny Town is the managing editor and producer of 38 North, USKI’s web journal providing analysis on events in and around the DPRK, and manages programs on North Korea, nuclear weapons, nuclear energy, and the US-ROK alliance, with her colleague. This visit to Japan is first time for her.
   She told us that the purpose of 38 North is to bring the best possible analysis to both North Korea watching experts and ordinary people, and expressed that this project is a US-based one but it draws on experts from the world to provide international perspectives, and so on.
   She added that she wanted to keep in touch with this Institute in the long run.
